I started reading this a while ago. Really good, but also very dense. Definitely not an easy read.

Nope. It's something you've got to actively parse while reading for sure.

That's the reason I still buy hard-copies. My copy of Anarchy, State and Utopia, notes and all, is a treasure for me.

On the other hand: notes made in iBooks are way more easily skimmed and searched. I'm torn!

True! Highlighting and making notes in iBooks is quite well done. I go back and forth between hard copy and iBooks.
