My experience has been that people have poor intuition for those parameters' meaning.

Yeah... Pop wraps tension/friction with more understandable values (bounciness/speed), maybe something like that could work?

That's what I tried to do with damping ratio / duration but I agree that it's still not clear by any means.

Duration's a weird one for me — if I want the spring to naturally (?) settle, I end up reversing that calculation myself.
