Twitter is magical: last Thursday I asked for people willing to try out a prototype—in person!—on Friday, and the slots filled in less than an hour!
Now collecting a list of unusual things to do via Twitter (in the spirit of 's milan.cvitkovic.net/writing/things). Any faves?

Do a recurring search of a book title that is seminal to your thinking, and watch its dissemination and weird parts of the graph it touches (for me, Seeing Like A State)

Before you do a graduate program, follow people in the field or add them to a list. During the program, when you learn a new conceptual term in that field that you’re particularly intrigued by, search that list, or by your follows, to get other perspectives on the concept.

To search all peoples’ public timeline on a list add to your search list:username/listname
Always use include:nativeretweets to catch all those peoples’ retweets containing your concept.
Searching only followed people (you can never search private timelines) is side menu choice
