For the past few months I've really been enjoying "instantaneous generosity" as suggested by Joseph Goldstein (via Oliver Burkeman): "whenever a generous impulse arises…to give money, check in on a friend, send an email praising someone's work—act on the impulse right away."

Related: a practice I stole from is to quickly write a personal thank you note to all new patrons. It deepens the very real gratitude I feel, and sometimes creates interesting correspondence. People seem surprised to receive these (& sometimes think they're automated!)
