the fucked up thing is that i can never stop spending time. there are no free actions. thinking about what to do is itself an action that consumes time. i need a pause button for reality so bad and i genuinely hate that i don’t have one

What would you do with the pause button if you had it?
In Goodbye, Again, Johnny Sun imagines basically this and concludes that he'd use it to do ever more work and eventually stay there permanently. That is to say... I think this is a good question.

If you fear the progress of time so much, then if you were not forced to experience it then perhaps you would simply choose to avoid it entirely.

catch my breath, relax, think
i think "relax" is probably the most important one, like it's hard for me to relax while simultaneously being aware of the passage of time

wdym by relaxing ? is it
- *doing* nothing
- not having an agenda & just doing whatever you feel like doing at the moment
- doing things you feel rejuvenated after having done
what relax means for me seems to change depending on my inner state
