are there other books or papers on creativity like this that I might be missing?

I've not found the "how to be more creative" genre terribly fruitful myself, but some of the "creativity research" work has been pretty interesting. Klein's "Seeing What Others Don't" might be a nice starting point there if you haven't seen.
I don’t think it’s possible to take direct aim at “creativity”. Rather, I look at creativity as a by-product of persistent interest and repeated experiments in a particular topic.

agree that directly focusing on "creativity" may be the wrong approach
however, I've found tools like randomness to help in discovering new perspectives and relationships (perhaps this is a piece of the creative process)

I'd also recommend this book under the "creativity" category
