Is there a "tools for thought" community group? There's lots of overlap with "future of coding" & "explorable explanations", so I usually point people to those spots, but there's gotta be one just for the notion/coda/roam/obsidian & their next-gens crowd... right?

A number of people have tried this. None of the results have been very high-signal. Community organizing is hard.

It's because y'all will never be satisfied with any community / chat tool unless you build it yourselves! You all care too much about design for your own good ;-)

My broad impression of the challenge is: there are many people who are enthusiastic about this space and like to talk about it; and they drown out a substantially smaller number of people with the skills and time to produce writing I want to engage with.
yeah we don't need another slack/discord channel
mb what is needed is actually an HN style ranked list where quality thinking/content can be bubbled up
the "design community" did this with designernews.co (which funnily enough is way less usable than HN)

yea my thoughts also went to ranked list. i feel like someone should at least make one with some weird conceptual/experimental hook to it.
