I’m flashing back to you this summer throwing out ways to integrate youtube and SR, which I didn’t viscerally feel a need for—but I do now!

There is so much amazing edu content on youtube, but it feels closer to popcorn than broccoli. I feel a strange and foreboding awareness that any knowledge I’m building is on a soft foundation, and it will sink into the bog if left unattended (as it probably will be).

SR feels like a way to preserve whatever higher-level understanding we develop by driving key facts into the bog like pilings, which provides a more stable foundation for knowledge

I could make SR cards myself—which I’ve done before for books—but I really want them to just appear magically. For convenience, but also because I’ll pay better attention if I’m being quizzed later and that doesn’t work if I write the cards.
