goal:
learn to become a writing machine
people who have had success here:
how did you achieve it? what were your initial struggles and how did you overcome them? or what life strategies made it a smooth process?
1. There exists no good, quick way to learn what critical rationalism is or why it matters.
Ideally, I want an evergreen-notes style website (👀) where you get lost in a glorious sea of tabs.
2. Clarity of thought.
3. Attract likeminded people.
4. Write book(s).
imo, 2 & 3 motivate 1. but we’re also motivated to share/teach in itself
there’s probably a hansonian status signalling element involved with “being a writer”
but it also feels good to share. we share funny videos. we enjoy synchronicity. etc.
also it’s enjoyable to solve problems.
and contra to the “if you can’t do, then teach” phrase. communicating well is it’s own problem
3blue1brown *is* solving a problem (even if it’s not solving original mathematical proofs)
