We're lucky the Earth is round because if it weren't, almost everyone's view of the sunrise and sunset would almost always be blocked!

In general, isn't earth's topological spectrum (layered on top of the sphere) blue, with a ratio of hill height:hill distance that is downward-trending?
Then, the angle that the ground obstructs the sky on a flat earth is very close to the present angle.

But I think that, all effects that depend on the re-scattering of light (after the start of civil twilight; a lot of the sunset) basically don't occur anymore. For anyone—anywhere—on a flat earth.
Convex earths are another matter.
