Have been experimenting with this unusual Dasung portable e-ink display for park working sessions. It's surprisingly responsive—plenty good enough for writing, coding, studying. HDMI driven, weighs about 1.5lbs, sits in front of my normal display (& uses much less power, ofc).

Curious! How does macOS see this display? That is, is it considered black and white? 256 grey? Or just HDMI and so it’s up to the display to handle the information being sent to it?

AFAICT the display processes a full-color HDMI stream. It has several "modes" which use different strategies to convert color to B&W, akin to a photo editor.
