Now that web extensions are available for real on iOS, I spent some time this morning looking into what it would take to make work. At last, mobile annotation without goofy workarounds!

(I've been surprised how little experimentation I've seen now that Safari web extensions are supported for real on iOS. Many new interaction flows are now possible which previously required intractable kludges! A bit of a nightmare, dev-exp wise, though… maybe that's why?)

Can't speak for iOS, but I spent days attempting a desktop Safari extension for Finda.
Ext. must be notarized, then bundled in the main app, all 100MB of which must be uploaded to Apple on every build to notarize. Even when notarization finally worked, ext didn't. I gave up.
