For me, the right; the left starts to edge into ambiguity regarding whether the sidebar "belongs to" the G or the article body.

The "standard" solution for consistent baseline alignment is to express type style line heights and margins as integer multiples of some base value; e.g. perhaps title:description is 2:1, and description:metadata is 3:2, but the latter "sits" in a description-height line.
