Great question: "What design process could take you from Roman numerals to Hindu-Arabic numerals?" The beginning of an answer could starts with : "lot of free time, lots of knowledge, lots of practical / hands-on experience in the matter, and willingness to scratch an itch..."

I just skimmed the rest. Suggest thought provoking unpopular opinions along the line of SV has been doing it wrong to stir human progress forward (I agree).

If not #lojban (lojban.github.io/cll/), if not #lisp are not new mediums that blossom new ways to think, reason and remember. There is a new medium that brings a shift, in my experience, similar to how Hindu-Arabic numerals did to math, in the field of literature...

A new form of literature that does smoothly introduce and make explicit new concepts such as transderivational search that explicit the inner working of the brain, possibly helping memory but also reasoning, toward mastering our capabilities: #mezangelle
