One reason we don't have more interesting, quality structured text editors: it's *really* hard to implement table-stakes editing operations well, particularly on web. In this video, I attempt to arrow up/down and shift+up/down to select inter-line in 8 outliners. Very yikes.

hey Andy. seems like our implementation is smoother than the other structured outliners you tried. i replicated your experiment here. we don't have the EOL gotchas.

The typical way to do it is with an explicit per-line column "history" which gets reset when performing an explicit column change action but not when changing rows.
