freelancers and solopreneurs: 1. how do you organise your time so you actually do work instead of sit around reading Twitter all day? 2. especially if comfy/got savings/won’t starve, what’s the motivation to do work at all? 3. how do you stay in the habit after a holiday?

I'm lucky to be in a situation where I'm relatively "safe," so most money-impulses are covert fears. Scared of having to embarrass myself in front of others by admitting I failed; scared of having to go back to doing work I hate; scared of others losing respect/care for me; etc.

These impulses often manifest, for me, as compulsive urges to verify that I'm "on budget" or to check how investments are going (even though they're all long-term, and I don't intend to draw on them). I find it helpful to notice and work on healing the fears instead.
