Has anyone attended an online-ified conference this past year that really "worked" for you socially / interpersonally? How'd they do it?
(attended many this past year but—despite diligent/generous effort from organizers!—I found every online conference candidly quite unpleasant)

My sense is that remote work mostly works well for projects which are solitary, relatively well-defined, or highly compartmentalizable. Doesn't seem to work well for invention-oriented work, more for execution-oriented work. But the latter's most of work!
