Has anyone found good ways of reading non-fiction through audio?
It's fine as entertainment to just listen through. But on paper or Kindle I constantly take notes, work stuff out, skip around, reread, make flashcards, write down ideas, etc.

Basically: do people have ideas for better ways to audio read?

I've had some success with using voice memos while listening. It's a bit cyborg:
- I'm listening on AirPods
- I'll start an audio recording on my watch
- when I want to make a note or flashcard, I'll double-tap my AirPod to pause, then raise my wrist and speak

None of this deals with the need for re-reading, "scratch space," etc, unfortunately.
