Say we discover (somehow) that it's actually impossible to simulate a human-level conscious mind on inorganic substrate. What did we discover? (e.g. we're running in a simulation, and a resolution limit prematurely halts Moore's Law; etc)

Brains have some kind of physical interaction with nearby brains which bias their thoughts in ways difficult to simulate. If this were true, we would expect people to be less empathetic to others un technology-mediated communication, eg, over social media. 😅
