It’s quite rare for software to offer both a real local file format and also substantial cloud/SaaS behavior (ie other than syncing). Usually it’s one or the other—if the cloud has active behavior, apps are thin clients which don’t expose an accessible on-disk format (eg Notion).

I like what does here: for each note, you can choose to persist either to on-disk file or to their realtime cloud. A sensible compromise given there's not a great way (yet!) to get the best of both worlds

Yes, I've been really interested to follow their work!
Similarly, I love that is purely just a frontend and operates over markdown files that you can sync over iCloud, git, or whatever you choose (including not at all!)
