No opinion on the art, but if all I had to go off of was Twitter discourse, then I'd have to assume that SF is the most miserable place in the US. I struggle to think of a single tweet about that city that wasn't expressing outrage or sadness. twitter.com/andy_matuschak

Thankfully, this kind of thing really is the exception in my experience. It's been months since I've experienced something "culture war"-y like this. Mostly, it's gorgeous and full of fascinating ambitious people.
