Very interesting. I found it surprising that the cost of a healthy diet is more or less the same (if not slightly higher) in low-income countries compared to high-income ones.

I imagine that a healthy diet is not made of highly processed food and that lower income countries might not have the same regulation around the supply chain to verify quality. Maybe also the efficiency of automation makes salary differences negligible.
This is fascinating. Yet an argument against sugar tax in UK, for example, is that many people can’t afford the healthy alternatives. So “healthy is unattainable” seems to be a narrative even for countries on the right of the chart.
