Finding myself curious… how many earnest young tech people who buy molbiocell do you suppose read > 10%? I've only read in spots, but I'd guess well over 200hrs for a solid first pass?
I would guess most people that buy it never crack it, probably 95% +/-
200h feels light, it’s normally taught across two semesters outside of a major program. It’s a horrible entry text, but a pretty phenomenal reference text. Confused why it’s so often recommended in isolation

Right, that makes sense. I got 200hr from: it's 1400pp; my textbook first-pass pace is ~10pp/hr; added padding.
(I wonder what % of tech people read 200hrs in a year across all books?)

Yeah +1 to will here - it's a great ref text, workable for skimming but there are much better books if you want to grasp multiple concepts at a decent level *quickly*
