Hm, interesting. I guess I don't feel that a missing shared definition is a problem! Is there something in particular (other than the archaic "man") you find outdated in Engelbart's '62 definition?

Yes, exactly!!

My personal sense is that by the time shared definitions solidify, the field is either solved or stalled. Scenius develops through the collaborative search for the right questions.

Yes, that resonates. I think what remains compelling/vital about DCE's definition, for me, is that even though it leaves out elements I find very important (augmenting groups; meaningfulness), it's so broad that it leaves the operative questions mostly undefined.
