It's striking how rapidly I can generate a large number of spaced repetition prompts using clozes when writing prose notes like notes.andymatuschak.org/The_cognitive_.
I notice that I have to write carefully (eg to avoid "giving away" deletions), and the prompts are lower-quality. But fast!

The Orbit prompts link back to the notes which contain the prompt text, which for me are in Bear. Bear loads instantly, so it's no big deal to do my editing there. And my system syncs automatically, so nothing to do there.

I do something similar with Roam, but Roam's load speed is abysmal. As for syncing, do you have a watcher on Bear's sqlite file and trigger syncs on change?

Dumber: a script which runs every few minutes (and exits immediately if the file's not changed).
