Very interesting little medium manipulation from Eckhart Tolle, via : a "pause symbol" which suggests that you "may want to stop reading for a moment, become still, and feel and experience the truth of what has just been said." Heavy-handed, maybe, but fascinating!

Those would annoy the hell out of me. I have a book of his on my shelf and knowing this makes me want to read it less.
What's the subject matter of that book? I feel like I would react very differently to this if it was on say, history vs philosophy.

This is like the book version of when someone looks at you to make sure you are REALLY listening.
This is cool - it reminds me of "Selah" in the book of Psalms.

Reminds me of what Mr Rogers said:
"It's about the white spaces between the paragraphs which I think are more important than any of the text because it allows you to think about what's just been said"
(Would recommend the whole video too, tho unrelated)

Brilliant! I'm a liberal user of "you should meditate on the following" and "go away and think about this over a hot chocolate", but never thought of this. Similarly: I routinely say "Aside"/"idle remark"/"important fact" - could be represented on a continuum by varying a symbol?
