As the world opens up, when/where do we find time for grieving and healing? To look back and say: "I can't believe how bad that was", "I can't believe that happened to me." Once we feel safe enough (& connected enough to loved ones), to collectively actually process the pain?

I'm still too hurt/scared to handle the cresting wave of exuberant, loud, party-celebration energy on the horizon. I gotta go slower & gentler, for me. Stick to contexts that are accepting of whole experiences, that are tolerant of confusion, dysfunction, raw pain.

"Casual" contexts aren't okay for me, yet. It feels like "Wait, is anyone here gonna acknowledge how BAD that was?? Or are we gonna just mill around at parties and picnics and act like we're all just fine??" (Some people *are* basically fine, probably! Not me. 🤷‍♀️)
