thank you! This aligns with some of the foundations of the Cognitive Productivity framework. CP proposes the term and concept of productive practice, emphasizing mental development, aiming for application and transfer of learning

"identify powerful ideas that weren't formerly known or weren't acted upon." That's what the CP books did (published 2013+). I'll try to find the time to write a blog response. But if you read the books you'll find a lot of IDO COGS answers to that.
