Squishing content is simply a tool to shift attention—LiquidText uses it to see all highlights at once, and to collapse particular sections; I'm using it for positioning and peripheral vision These are only two examples of how this tool can be used, there are many more

Another example is that you could have a collaborative editor where you can squish the view to see where other people are editing within the document Similar interaction, but conceptually answers very different questions to the user
