Sometimes. I don't think it'd do much for analyzing a work of literature or history, but it'd probably work well for skills -- mathematics, music, chess, a sport.

Yes, and that's why Anki has seen so much success with language learners. What I'm wondering is whether we can tell if the questions asked in the Quantum Country SRS system improve retention of the deeper ideas or just leave you with a fistful of trivia afterwards.

We’ve started exploring this with qualitative interviews, but fairly ineffectually. I need to establish a stronger context—e.g. perhaps using it as part of a course and examining impact on problem sets, exams, interviews, etc.
