When I wrote my post on technological stagnation, the top question I got asked was: So, how do we fix it?

I enjoyed this ! I was a little surprised that "progress studies" itself doesn't make the list—that is, as described in the original Atlantic article, better understanding the dynamics of progress and what interventions might speed it up. Curious how you see that?
To put it another way, this answer ~implies "we basically know how to do it, we just need to persuade people to *actually do it*!"—i.e. to think it's worth doing, fund it at even fairly modest levels, stop red-taping it. More basic know-how isn't a high-order bit. Is that right?

Yes, “progress studies” is the most meta answer, and I considered adding it.
The real answer is that I wasn't trying to be comprehensive in this post, because when I even thought about that, I realized I would never finish the post. So I just highlighted a few key themes

I had a similar reaction, you articulated it much better than I did!
