Tangential: one way out of the supposed Great Stagnation is if we can invent really fantastic new cognitive technologies Eg Language was a huge leap for cognition; are there similar size leaps still latent? What might they be? Any unusual answers (not AGI BCI etc)?

One we haven't talked about much: I think we can make a lot of progress in communicability of tacit knowledge. It's been fascinating to watch Twitch et al make dents from one direction, and ideas like Klein's naturalistic decision making may make communicable models possible.

These aren’t hip in the TFT scene but I think they count: naming your emotions, naming your values, naming the vibes and norms in the room and the incentives that gave rise to them, naming and modding social games. Oh, and something like the web of questions in Turtleocracy.
