It’s fascinating to me, from a design perspective, that at some point a while back someone figured out that feeds and indexes felt livelier if every item had a feature image… so now every URL needs a goddamn feature image, or else it gets lost in the visual sea!
I wonder how much marginal revenue this design pattern has brought to stock photo companies.
