Riffing off of this — a tool for finding anything I’ve seen on-screen. E.g. if I was in some obscure settings pane and I want to get back to it, but all I remember was the word “confabulator” somewhere on it … show me the last 30 seconds of what was on screen and how I got there

I did some prototyping along these lines but backburnered it to focus on other projects. I still think it’s quite an interesting direction.

there used to be something very close to this called Atlas (theverge.com/2016/11/30/137) imo the mainstream wasn't ready for it, and it wasn't robust enough for power users …but it's long gone now. I did save everything I could find on it:
