Silly/surprising side-benefits of sleeping with a CPAP:
* can pull covers over head and still breathe
* no more waking up dry+thirsty (humidified air, nose instead of mouth)
* reduced stuffiness from allergies (air filtered right before inhalation)
* elephant cosplay

Unexplained daytime drowsiness for years, finally got frustrated and asked my doc what might be causing it. One quick test later, and: oh! Oops.

What was the quick test?

At-home polysomnography. A facility mails you a thing you strap to your head (nasal airflow monitor, EEG, actigraph) and sleep with for a night, then you mail it back.

That's awesome, so possible to do these days. And it's made a huge difference in your daytime fatigue?

Yes, though it took a while (sleep is often initially worse because you're not used to sleeping with the thing)
