Silly/surprising side-benefits of sleeping with a CPAP:
* can pull covers over head and still breathe
* no more waking up dry+thirsty (humidified air, nose instead of mouth)
* reduced stuffiness from allergies (air filtered right before inhalation)
* elephant cosplay

how did you discover you needed it?

Unexplained daytime drowsiness for years, finally got frustrated and asked my doc what might be causing it. One quick test later, and: oh! Oops.
At-home polysomnography. A facility mails you a thing you strap to your head (nasal airflow monitor, EEG, actigraph) and sleep with for a night, then you mail it back.

interesting, maybe I should get a polysomnography just in the off-chance I have it
Do you know if it would affect sleep tracking? My stats there look pretty good, but don't know if they're related

I don’t really know what to take from this but my whole life I just go to sleep stay asleep and wake up 11 hours later (feeling great!) unless interrupted by an angry alarm clock

also more importantly, I'm super glad you fixed your problem! People experiment so little on their sleep it's really surprising
