I also totally don't recommend @The_Lagrangian 's chrome extension. Probably full of spyware and forbidden knowledge about transmissible cancers.

Firefox also has an awesome option to add a keyword for a search engine. So I can type in
"Sci super awesome paper"
In the search bar and it will automatically take me to the sci-hub search result for "super awesome query"

People used to say academic publishers were smarter than the music industry of the 90s, but sometimes you have to wonder. There's no simple personal subscription because it's not a big enough market, but they're losing more by making bootlegging the only option. 🤷
