Odd culture question: I spend time with lots of designers in San Francisco, have lots of connections to various startup design teams, etc. Yet I know zero people at IDEO, the largest design institution in the city & among the largest in the world. Why? A cultural divide? Just me?

Only ex-frog folks—interestingly, more of them than ex-IDEO!

I’m not super surprised! I also know a number of ex-frog people who moved on to Google, startups, etc. I think IDEO manifests more careerism — could probably explain how 😉
