#roamcult how do you deal with footnotes in primary texts?
I'm indenting them under the paragraph that references them and then linking the footnote number in superscript to it.
Also, can't seem to get superscript to work easily inside Roam, tips appreciated!

I just use typical extended-Markdown footnotes:
This is an example sentence[^caveat] with a footnote.
[^caveat]: Note that Gruber’s Markdown didn’t include footnote support.
The next paragraph.
Oh, interesting, so the footnote is it’s own bullet, correct? Indented under the paragraph it’s cited in.

Bullet? No: I don’t use Roam.

Here’s a framework for footnotes in Roam (roamresearch.com/#/app/roam-tri).
I would recommend it for formal publications only, though; the method above by is easier and more compact.
