I’ve spent some time following up post-publication references, esp the NSB/NSF TR response, but I’d be particularly interested to know what’s happened since ‘08; who’s made progress here, who’s trying, what approaches have failed since then, etc.
I also want to hear the strongest possible arguments that his basic assumptions are wrong, that present models actually do pass the Planck test (or that that’s a foolish criterion) etc. I found only very poor arguments against; I lack background to really evaluate.

I do have some points of disagreement with him I think, will figure out as I write how deep they sre
