When teaching, it feels natural to center on powerful ideas or techniques. But it’s usually better to center on *questions*—ideas and techniques can follow. Ideally, they’re deep, meaningful questions with no “right” answer, an active object for experts in the discipline.

a good Q! if i had to give a general answer, it would be that they could ask their own questions, that they could own their own learning. Maybe more specifically, what are ways they can do their thinking through visual means & what can they understand in new ways as a result?
