I have not yet -touched- one, but my understanding is that no, they don’t. Passive listening to USB comms is rather hard to detect. (Note also that USB HID devices like keyboards don’t trigger such a warning.)

Also recently their manufacturer mixed their product with regular cables going to unsuspecting customers 😬
(I don't think it does much when not commanded to do something nefarious)
