In lieu of a search function, a changelog, or an index (sorry!), I'm trying out a "What's top of mind" page for anyone interested in meandering around my working notes.

Curious to know how this site integrates into your workflow. Specifically, I presume you use something like Roam to create your notes (before they become evergreen). Do you then take out of source system once it’s published or do you have two versions of each note?

I mostly write notes using Bear. I have some scripts which manipulate them in various ways, but they're ultimately a folder of Markdown files. The web note viewer just reads from that folder. Some tags are marked as private.

Hi Andy! I like the approach you’ve taken with Bear and your Evergreen notes. I wonder, have you found any good approach for the tag system in Bear? I’m finding tags to be more trouble than they’re worth when the notes scale.

Not really, no. I don’t think tags work very well for organizing these types of notes.
Agreed that they work poorly for association. I was thinking more about tags as bookmarks for unfinished aspects of notes, i.e. #unelucidated for blocks of text that still mainly consist of others’ thoughts & low on personal elaboration.
