One of my favourite art pieces over the past few years is Ragnar Kjartansson's "The Visitors", which I've experienced (maybe ~4 times all the way through) at SF MoMa and the Phoenix Art Museum:

I found it very striking, for reasons I struggle to articulate. Anyone else see it, and have thoughts?

I watched it over and over at SFMOMA and I don’t understand why I love it so much! In a word, I’d describe it as “transporting,” and being able to wander between the performance spaces made it more so. But that’s a tiny piece of it...
Same here, I kept going back to that exhibit when it was at SFMOMA. So memorable.

I also LOVE IT, best thing at sfmoma for sure. though the louise bourgeois spiders were pretty great too...

I love it too! I really loved the “it’s always different, and you’ll never see the whole thing in a typical visit” you get from the performance spaced

Nice point - you get to construct a new experience each time!
