Like post-market surveillance, anyone can put out all sorts of claims out there, and you usually don't make a career out of debunking and replicating (No-ing), more like yes-and-ing other papers. I think there is not enough of the former, organized teams of cynics

Maybe this norm could be spread by changing the way tenure gets awarded, overweighting how much you have done to clean up the commons, in addition to build new things in them
