Twitter: I am terrible at asking for help! I never think to do it. And when I do, I dismiss it, thinking “ah, it’s so much overhead to involve others that it’s easier to just handle myself.” But I’m sure I’m not asking nearly enough. Help me! What strategies do you have here?

I’m terrible at this too… I do think it’s important these days to be mindful of others’ situations when asking. And to boost / credit people who helped, especially if they’re people who often help and often don’t get credited or listened to as much.

Do you enjoy helping others yourself? Knowing you, I think if you treat this the same way you’ve learned all other ways you interface with other people, you’ll get there Like how you enjoy telling somebody about a thing they’ve never heard of, rather than judging them...

I think this is part of the problem: being "extremely online" exposes me to a lot of requests for help; usually I don't want to; sometimes I do anyway; it often feels like an energy-suck. Probably skewing my perceptions here, makes it hard to focus on when I do really helping.
