FWIW, a lot of my friends are leaving/have left, and a lot of them are talking about that being permanent. (John and myself included.)

The pros of a temporary move make a lot of sense to me, but I'm curious what factors seem to push people toward a permanent move? Belief that the "center" of Global Weird HQ will diffuse? Increased faith in satisficibility of video-based community? Renewed love for nature?
