This was a hard post to feel comfortable publishing, but I hope this might help someone. I've been sad as a teenager in the past and wanted to share some ways I've learned to deal with those emotions.

Thank you for sharing this! Aside from the value in any specific pieces of advice, I suspect it’s enormously valuable to create common knowledge like this. So many people (rightly) look up to you, and letting them know “I get sad too” is enormously validating. ❤️
Feels like an important neighbor of “the unreasonable effectiveness of raising others’ aspirations”: it’s so easy to feel like sadness or anxiety or self-doubt are signs of some deep, indelible personal flaw.

I thought the same of a thread you shared recently about feelings of inadequacy and worthlessness of the work done and never doing or being good enough. I was like "I'm not the only one!"
