I've loved seeing new genres spring up during this odd time. If nothing else, it’s offering unusual access to amazing talent. One fave COVID-genre is high-caliber musical theater stars, jarringly out of place in their cozy homes, often with cheap microphones, still killing it.

A few great examples: The central duet of The Last Five Years (accompanied by the composer!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RidQEsc3PDk … The entire prologue of Into the Woods (quite a challenging choice!):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O23fBaYp28U …

Half a dozen videos in, still going—these guys are great! I sang in a cappella groups for 12 years, and I’m a total sucker for this stuff. :)

Great! My favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD251ZY10jQ … (27-42s) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7Zcrx2OEHs … (such tight harmonies at 8-18s) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgLPnexr9Vw … (how are they so in sync at 1:24 to 1:28?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZamZh5z-PE … And this is so fun:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1F98bzOD4g …

One of my most-anticipated post-COVID activities is singing in tight harmony and making the room buzz. Totally buying a few of these guys’ arrangements for that event.
