This is an incredible resource for thinking about different "kinds" of notes in @RoamResearch
Could totally be expanded into lessons / a strategy guide

That note is slowly evolving into that sort of thing, as the notes linked from there become higher-fidelity. I’d be curious to hear about others’ taxonomies. As-always caveat:https://tinyurl.com/qvnh6sr

Historically I've kept most of my thoughts in daily notes, with backlinks on each page as a raw collection of filterable thoughts For refining ideas though, thinking more about pulling notes out of the backlinks into the body of the note with block refshttps://twitter.com/Conaw/status/1240104928661475328?s=19 …

Conor White-Sullivan @ConawRecorded a video showing a writing workflow in@RoamResearch where you 1. Collect notes for a draft using backlinks 2. Place the notes on the page using block-references 3. Rephrase a block - but keep link to original note by using markdown alias []() https://youtu.be/Ag_22rnautsShow this thread1 reply 0 retweets 6 likes -

I think transclusion might be a bit of a footgun here. I find that the raw material I write in daily notes is a good starting place for evergreen notes, but almost always needs a rewrite when moving up the ladder, particularly when spread across multiple days.

Which is why wrapping block refs in aliases - [*](((blockid))) is interesting Can still trace origin of idea as you refine it. Workflow we could make much faster/smoother But feels good having the links between stages of a thought

Ah, gotcha! Totally—I’d love to be able to track the lineage of those distillations. Very Xanadesque.
